The rooms at Homey Hostel are cozy and comfortable, with a shared bathroom and bed linen. It really gives you that homely vibe, and as a backpacker, I love that feeling of being in a place that feels like home.
Personally, I would have preferred if the rooms at Homey Hostel had a kettle. But hey, that's just me.

Mind-blowing experience! The receptionist, Suky, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. With her helpful and knowledgeable advice, we explored the city and found amazing local food spots. The property was spotlessly clean, with daily cleaning and weekend deep cleaning. The location was perfect, right in the center of everything. Free filtered water, fast Wi-Fi, and comfy beds with AC added to the fantastic stay.

The rooms at Homey Hostel are cozy and comfortable, with a laid-back vibe that made me feel right at home. I loved the shared bathroom and bed linen, which were always clean and well-maintained. As a solo traveler, I truly appreciated the sense of community in this hostel.
I wasn't a fan of the fact that the rooms only had a shared bathroom. However, I understand that for some people, this communal experience can be a fun and positive aspect of their stay.

Not my first time staying here yet not going to be the last one too. My regular transit spot every time I'm in Ipoh. From a guest becoming more like a friend nowadays visiting this place. Friendly and lovely young lady owner. Highly recommended for short and long term stays. Good location. Water point. Rooms with AC. Staff were so lovely and welcoming. Immaculately clean. Basic facilities but all you need. Fantastic location and amazing hospitality. Suky shared all lovely eateries in neighborhood. Well managed and spotlessly clean, with fresh bed sheets and towels.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The decoration of the hotel was simply delightful. The common areas were cozy and beautifully adorned with vintage furniture and charming artwork. As a senior woman, I appreciated that the hotel was designed with accessibility in mind. The hallways were wide, making it easy for me to navigate with my walker, and there were handrails in the bathrooms for extra support. It felt safe and comfortable, just like being at home.
I would have loved to see more assistance from the staff. As the children working there were busy, it would have been helpful to have someone available to assist seniors with their luggage or provide guidance on nearby attractions suitable for our age group.

Our stay at Homey was fantastic! The location was perfect, with plenty of restaurants and the night market just a short walk away. Plus, the old town and train station were easily accessible on foot. The hostel itself was clean and cozy, with a comfortable common area that had a sofa to relax on. We also appreciated the free water and tea provided. Despite the traffic noise from the main road, the earplugs provided ensured a good night's sleep. Suky, the owner, was incredibly helpful and responsive, making our stay even more enjoyable. we highly recommend this hostel.

The hostel had a good location, close to restaurants and the main attractions. The staff were helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with any information needed. Another advantage was the clean and comfortable rooms, providing a pleasant stay.
The noise from the street was unbearable, making it difficult to get a good night's rest. Additionally, there was a lack of facilities such as a fridge, microwave, and stove, which would have been useful for keeping food fresh and cooking meals.

I must say that the decoration in this lovely hostel was absolutely charming. The owners have created a cozy and homey atmosphere with beautiful artwork and vintage furniture. The common areas were comfortable and inviting, perfect for relaxing and socializing. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The hallways were wide enough for me to navigate with ease and there were handrails in the bathrooms for extra support. It's great to see accommodations that consider the needs of older guests.
If I were to suggest one improvement for a better vacation for senior people, it would be for the children working there to offer some assistance with carrying luggage up to the rooms. As a senior, it can be quite tiring to haul heavy bags, and having a helping hand would greatly alleviate the strain on our bodies.
